Requirements for Police Records Checks for Active Ministry Personnel
Requirements for Police Records Check To All Active Ministry Personnel Active Ministry Personnel (Anyone serving in an Appointment, Call, and anyone seeking to be Retained on the Roll), must have a Police Records Check, Level Two, (Vulnerable Sector). Using Police Services Level 2 (Vulnerable Sector) checks may be obtained from local Police Departments. It is possible that you will be required to present a denominational letter (recently updated) to the police to authorize a level 2 check. On the Forms page you will find a generic denominational letter that will be accepted by most police services. You should take this with you when you apply. The O.P.P. have their own form for this purpose. Using the "BackCheck" Alternative (This is no longer applicable as of January 1, 2010. You cannot obtain a Level 2 (Vulnerable Sector) police records check from Backcheck, until further notice.)
