Thinking about Con-Ed for 2011-2012? Have you considered taking French conversation in order to be better equipped to build bridges with Francophones in your ministry context? The General Council has set aside funds for just this purpose. Here is what one participant said about the Learning French for Ministry Programme: “My teacher was the greatest. ... One of the key items we worked on together were the liturgies I would be using, most specifically for the wedding I was to conduct entirely in French last Saturday!” – Rev. After some leg work this week we have discovered that the format for the 2011 pre-retirement seminars has changed, and that they are now offering regularly scheduled conference calls and online information to all members, in the hopes of being able to share this information with members on a more timely basis, and giving those in rural or remote locations the opportunity to participate as well.
